Brackley Wind Orchestra was formed in 2002 and now has over 30 members. We perform in churches, village halls, school fêtes, parties and pub gardens playing all styles of music from classical to modern, and can adapt to suit the occasion. Why not come along to our next performance... visit our concerts page to find out where we are playing next.
We always welcome more players to any of our sections. Find out more about our players and vacancies. Learn more
We are lucky to have an experienced and passionate Music Director who scores pieces for the group and puts together a great variety of programmes.
Fund raising
In the past, we have supported the Katherine House Hospice, Royal British Legion, Air Ambulance, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Brackley & Cheney Music and Performing Arts Centre and most recently CoppaFeel!
This year we are fund raising to support a close friend of a member of the band, Ian Hensley who has Multiple Myeloma Cancer. He is raising £25,000 for Myeloma UK and BWO are supporting his cause this year. Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. They provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments. You can read Ian's story here... and you can donate when you come to our concerts or just by following the link to Ian's Just Giving page. Thank you for supporting our charity work.
